Favourite Diamonds Moment?
I would think the day we won the Conference and the
presentation at Nene Park
with Max Griggs etc.
When did you start supporting The Diamonds?
I started supporting Diamonds when I moved to
Wellingborough in 1999, first game I ever saw was the
5-3 win over Kidderminster at Nene Park. It was a tough
decision between Diamonds, Ploppies & Wobblers but any
team that scored 5 goals got my vote!
What do you do on Radio Diamonds?
I present the Diamonds History show which looks back at
Rushden Town, Irthlingborough Diamonds & R&D seasons gone
past and playing music from the various moments covered.
I am also the assistant Station Manager, part of the home
commentary team.

'04-'05 season.
When did you start supporting The Diamonds?
I started supporting Diamonds shortly after my wife and I
moved to Rushden which was September, '03. my first
Diamonds match was October, '03, a 3-2 home loss to Wrexham
in the old Division 2 (now League 1).
What Do You Do On Radio Diamonds?
I help out with pre-match build-up, then match commentary,
followed by post-match interviews and analysis.
All-in-all, a very enjoyable experience with our dedicated
team of volunteers for Radio Diamonds...
and it helps when the Diamonds win too!!!
Kevin Perry.

Favourite Diamonds Moment?
One of three moments... either the 0-0 game at home to
Leeds United in the F.A. Cup, the 3-0 win against Talbot's
Oxford team, or Sharp's goal against the Cobblers.
When did you start supporting The Diamonds?
The late nineties... the first game was at home to
Barrow-In-Furness,
and Michael Mison scored a stormer from about 50 yards!
What Do You Do On Radio Diamonds?
Run my mouth off about everything and anything from 2pm
'til 3pm every home game. Read the team sheet out, analyse
the last match, and predict what will happen in the next
few games. I also run the web-site.
Along with Bruce & Niall we play a wide range of music,
from The Kinks, to The Scaffold, to Bloc Party!

Favourite Diamonds Moment?
I think it has to be winning promotion away at Carlisle
with friends who had moved up that way. It was Easter and
a very very special moment when the lads began celebrating
down on the pitch in front of us fans. Never to be
forgotten. I've got the photo's somehwere !
When did you start supporting The Diamonds?
End of 1999/2000 season, 1st game was 0-0 draw with
Scarborough at Nene Park
What Do You Do On Radio Diamonds?
I help Susan with the Diamond Minors slot between 1100 and
1200 every Saturday when Diamonds are playing at home.
Susan Longstaff.
Diamond Minors Presenter.

Favourite Diamonds Moment?
That's a very tricky one actually I've got so many. For me it was Easter, I was wearing my Easter attire of Bunny ears, away
to Brighton and Hove Albion. Barry Hunter was in charge and we earned a hard fought point in a draw. The best moment was when
Barry and the lads came over to us and Barry signalled that we had got one point. My other memorable moment was away in the
Playoffs at the Millennium Stadium Cardiff. Even though we lost to Cheltenham it was a great experience to go to a big venue
with a large following behind the team.
When did you start supporting The Diamonds?
I started supporting the team in about 1995 although I had previously been down to the old Club shop to get my brother a kit
with my mum. I have been a regular volunteer. Just after the Trust was formed I was often found tidying cupboards and stuffing
envelopes with Rachel and Helen. I was also fortunate enough to spend some time working at the Club answering the phones and
working in the Club shop and ticket office. I am still an active member volunteering whenever possible.
What Do You Do On Radio Diamonds?
I co-host the Diamond Minors slot with Colin 11.00 - 12.00 noon every Saturday, when Diamonds are playing at home. I have
this season learnt how to work the controls fading the mikes, CD's and even playing our fab jingles.
